The Tweed Hospital – Tweed Heads

The Tweed Hospital is a government-owned facility that’s part of the Northern NSW Local Health District. As an entity that operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; The Tweed Hospital treats over 45,000 patients every year.

The Tweed Hospital provides a full suite of bulk-billed healthcare services to members of the northern New South Wales community including oncology, renal dialysis, paediatrics and coronary care.

Visiting hours for general surgery patients are between 2.00 pm and 8.00 pm, and on request. We recommend confirming visiting hours before you attend.

Murwillumbah District Hospital – Murwillumbah

Murwillumbah District Hospital is a level three rural community hospital within the northern New South Wales local health district.

The hospital serves 20,000 local residents through its emergency department and healthcare services such as general and orthopaedic surgery, children’s ward, and women’s care unit.

The hospital is suitable for short-stay surgery with four cubicles available in the day surgery unit. Visiting hours to the day surgery unit are between 10.00 am and 8.00 pm, but we recommend confirming with a staff member before arriving.
